About

After a spontaneous spiritual awakening at 19, I began practicing Hatha and Kundalini yoga to cultivate and maintain mental clarity, elevated energy, and a joyful presence throughout the transition of leaving the Matrix of the “American way” and embarking upon a continuous soul journey through Costa Rica, California, Nicaragua, Panama , New Zealand, Australia, Burning Man, and India. After becoming certified to teach hatha-vinyasa in Australia, I began teaching in international studios, tropical beaches, and snowy mountaintops to friends and travelers from all over the world.  After a lot of exploring, I realized I love Austin more than anywhere else, and settled back in Texas, teaching Hatha Flow classes with an emphasis on mindfulness and pranic awareness.

After experiencing a huge energy current flood the central energy channel (sushmuna nadi) during the 2008 Kundalini Summer Solstice Festival in New Mexico, and a kundalini raising experience shortly thereafter, I immediately was drawn to teach Kundalini Yoga and share the feeling of immense peace, power, and joy that this spiritual technology brings.
Since that life changing Solstice,  I co-created an intentional yoga & permaculture community, Sacred Acres, and have been leading Full Moon & New Moon meditation celebrations and VinyasaDance experiences.

The latest evolution in my yogic path has brought me into Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of Unity through Love and Service.  One core practice is Kirtan, the Ecstatic singing and chanting of the many names of God’s activity in the material realms.  In addition to Kirtan, I also donate time and money to the Amala Foundation, for the amazing service work they do with children from all over the world, sustainably creating a peaceful future.
